BRIGID KAELIN has played saw for many of the greats (from Cowboy Jack Clement to Elvis Costello). She reads music fluently and also plays by ear and is an experienced session player on musical saw, accordion, piano, and background vocals.

Brigid first played the musical saw as an 8-year-old cello student, when her dad casually asked if she could bow a saw. She later came to be obsessed with the "instrument" as a college sophomore, when her roommate brought a musical saw to NYU for the year. Her roommate's brother was known saw legend and blues guitarist, Guy Forsyth. He gave her some tips, and Brigid and has been playing professionally since then.

It took her a long time before she realized that not just any saw player can make the specific notes desired and play accurate melodies; Brigid can do both and more. Her saw work has been featured in multiple films and theatre productions.

Available for session work in Nashville and Louisville and remote.
